On using C++

Sorry for this content-free post, but this is just too good:

When your hammer is C++, everything begins to look like a thumb.

This especially strikes a chord, since I’m currently working on something in C++ at work. Ugh!

    You accidently create a dozen instances of yourself and shoot them all in the foot. Providing emergency medical care is impossible since you can’t tell which are bitwise copies and which are just pointing at others and saying, “that’s me, over there.”

    Good quote, haha! Which also reminds me of a variant: “Using C++ is like shooting yourself in the foot with a machine gun” :-)
